COVID-19 – How to Safely Handle Your Items Upon Receiving Them

During this time, it is more important than ever to follow the appropriate precautions and recommendations in order to ensure your health and safety.

When receiving any packaged items, we ask that you follow these recommendations to ensure that you and your loved ones’ health and safety are protected.

Our Recommendations

• Handle your package with gloves

Whether using gloves or not, the most important point is to avoid touching your face, mouth and eyes while handling the parcel.

• Wipe down your parcel with a disinfectant wipe.

Coronavirus can live on cardboard for approximately 24 hours and plastics up to 72 hours.

• Dispose of the packaging materials once the item(s) are removed.

We recommend packaging materials such as cardboard or plastic be placed outside of the household if possible or in a designated safe location within your household.

• Wash your hands thoroughly for 20 seconds with soap and water.

It is important to wash your hands thoroughly once you are done handling the parcel.

• Wash or disinfect the received items before wearing them

Although there is no evidence that coronavirus can live on fabric materials, we recommend taking a precautionary approach to this. Please ensure that you follow the wash care label when washing and drying your item. 

Please note that due to COVID-19 many shipping companies are now offering contactless delivery, meaning that deliveries do not require signature upon receipt. We recommend tracking your item on a daily basis so that you or someone else can be present when the delivery is made.
